artist statement

“to create something exceptional, your mindset must be relentlessly focused on the smallest detail” - giorgio armani

Moving between photography and collage art and, on occasion fusing the two, my work delves into the intimacy found in the small idiosyncrasies of a subject.  Drawing the eye out from the tiniest details to then engage with the entire photographic composition and doing quite the opposite with many of my collaged images allows for various interpretations of what’s before one’s eye. Be the visual color, black & white, abstract, or realistic, each piece calls for more than just a first glance thus creating moments for a more personal exchange, which is my intention.
